I like the idea of the iRent2You. However one feature I thought might be cool would be the ability to make Public and Private rental areas. The default would be Public, any thing you list can be viewed by anyone. The second, Private would be a system of Invites to add people to your Private share network. These people would send an invite, if they are not already members they would create account and then would be able to view all your Private rental stuff. This could also grow into a LINKEDIn type networking group of renters.. An example would be growing a Private community of neighborhood renters. I may not want everyone in the world to be able to rent my lawnmower, however I could have a few friends in the neighborhood that often share tools. We would invite each other to view our items, and in turn could refer even more friends to join and become members with both public and private shares.. Just an idea.. Keep up the good work.. I will be posting stuff shortly.

Hello MW,

That sounds like a very nice idea. We understand that there are some people who are willing to lend items to anyone in the community (within reason), and then there are other things you would rather keep with trusted friends. You propose an interesting solution for really building the social connections between people,

Keep the great ideas coming. We are putting everything into one big list. Choosing which ones to do first is one of our hardest jobs, but together as a group we will build this site into the best possible solution.

Thanks for your comments!

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you....
